Do you have an idea and are considering commissioning an Artwork for yourself or as a gift?
Please contact Liisa and have a conversation with her where you can discuss your ideas, even if you are unsure if her particular style is suitable.
She is always up for experimenting and trying something new and that includes looking for a new challenge. However, Liisa will be honest with you as to whether is it possible for her to create an artwork that is based on your ideas.
If Liisa thinks it is not within her skill set, she has a vast network of Artists and can put in touch with someone who would be able to create what you are looking for.
You will have a discussion via email/messenger/ telephone or in person at Liisa’s studio. This conversation will be based on your ideas and what it is that you would like, for example, a watercolour painting of a specific bird, a detailed pencil drawing of something precious, or an oil painting for a memorable occasion. Liisa is proficient in working with a wide range of materials and also enjoys working with Clay. The conversation between you will produce ideas and possibilities with Liisa. These will be discussed to make sure you both have a full understanding of your needs and that the work will be going in the right direction.
Based on your discussions Liisa will send you either a quote or an invoice (This will be based on Materials, time spent conceptualizing and creating concept designs and then creating the final Artwork). This Quote/Invoice will have an outline of your idea detailed within, an idea of all costs, and an approximate expected completion date (This is dependent on the Schedule, chosen materials and subject matter. Flexibility may be required as different materials have different drying times).
If you were sent a quote and have approved it, an invoice will then be sent to you.
Once Liisa Clark has received your 50% non-refundable deposit she will be able to give you your booking start date. Payment of the Non-refundable deposit confirms agreement with the terms and conditions set out in this document. This is also your agreed contract.
Should the project require concept designs and you decide any concept sketches are not to your liking and you no longer wish to carry on with the project, no further fees will be required, Liisa will retain the 50% deposit to cover the cost of materials used.
Should you choose to go ahead with the Commission the remaining 50% will be required on completion of the Artwork and sign-off on approval.
The final artwork may be subject to change and may not look like the original concept design. The concept design is an indication or suggestion of how the final artwork will look.
Aspects of the final Artwork may change due to several reasons: how colourings work together, the composition of the Artwork may work differently once the pencils/pastels/ paint starts going on the paper/ canvas. The mood of the artwork may also change throughout the process and may need readjusting.
Throughout the creative process, Liisa Clark is happy to send you updates and if you would like, photos of the development as it goes along. Please note that sometimes photos throughout the process can give a misleading impression of how the final Artwork will look, so some people like to wait until they see the finished Artwork.
Once the final Artwork is finished, depending on your preference Liisa will either invite you to the studio to view it or will send you photos.
If you are happy, the project is then signed off and once the final payment is received you can either collect the Artwork from the studio, or Liisa will arrange to have the Artwork shipped to you via one of the reliable Couriers that I use.
If there are aspects of the Artwork you are unhappy with once you are looking at the completed Artwork, this is the time to tell Liisa. This is your artwork, and you have to be happy with it as you will be the one looking at it. Liisa will do her best to do what she can to make the alterations so that you are happy with your Artwork.
You have a 7-day period after receiving the Artwork in which to hang the work and enjoy it. Should you find that you are unhappy, Liisa will offer you a refund minus the 50% Non-refundable deposit.
Should a frame be required Liisa will recommend a talented and reliable Framer, or Liisa Frame the Artwork herself using the limited range in her stock. This is agreed upon at the initial stages of the commission process.
Final Payment is due PRIOR to shipping or collection.
All commissioned Artwork costs are dependent on each Individual Clients specific requirements.
Shipping fees are dependent on delivery location and are not included in the original quote. These details are only confirmed at the end of the project.
The shipping fees are subject to the clients’ own requirements. This fee will also include all packaging materials. In an effort to help the Environment some of my Packaging materials will be reused. If possible, I ask that you also please re-use them.
Liisa Clark prefers to use a specific Courier for her Framed works and Commissions. They are experienced in shipping her Artwork, this can sometimes result in slightly higher shipping costs, but will guarantee (Except during exceptional circumstances) next day delivery and that the items will arrive undamaged.
Alternatively, you are welcome to collect from the studio with a prior appointment – or you can select your own courier at your own risk. Liisa Clark will accept no Liability of damage should an alternative courier be used.
Collection of Artwork is welcome with a prior appointment
Liisa Clark would prefer all clients to be happy with their Artwork. The vast majority of people are happy but there has been a very odd occasion where the client is not happy. This has been at the end of the creation process when something in the Artwork was not quite what they expected, however, the solution was a little tweak here and there that required adjustments.
Liisa suggests that they take the artwork home and live with it for a week. If at that time they are still not happy Liisa is happy to offer a refund (minus the non-refundable deposit). You have a 7-day period after receiving the Artwork to raise any problems that you may have with the Artwork.
Should you find that you are unhappy with your Artwork please have a discussion with Liisa and she will do what I can to change what it is you are unhappy with. If Liisa Clark is able, she will make a reasonable amount of changes in a specified amount of time.
If you find that you are still unhappy Liisa Clark offers you a refund minus the 50% Non-refundable deposit.
