Painted on a reclaimed artist’s palette, the surface carries the history of its own making. Created on an object whose purpose was once to mix colour rather than display it, the palette becomes both artwork and record, revealing something of the journey behind the final image.
The original corvid portrait is interrupted by hand-applied copper leaf that spreads across the surface, appearing to creep, fracture and reclaim.
